Overview
In this intensive course, participants will learn all the necessary skills to conduct an effective penetration test in a corporate network environment.
With the Certified Penetration Tester (CPENT), EC-Council has launched a new certification for penetration testing. This course addresses qualification gaps and reflects the professional role of a penetration tester and security analyst.
The technical part includes building and the specifics and exceptions when creating custom tools. Each participant has the opportunity to learn about advanced tools that go beyond the scope of a normal audit, as well as to carry out advanced binary exploitation. Additionally, common best practices and key tools from KALI Linux are presented and explained with examples.
In addition to the technical fundamentals, the most important legal aspects and necessities are also conveyed.
Anyone who has only worked in shallow networks will elevate their skills to the next level through the live exercises of the CPENT. The methods for pen-testing an IoT system, OT system, writing custom exploits, and creating custom tools round out the course.
** At the end of the course, each participant is free to take the exam directly at their own Schönbrunn TASC Test Center.
Requirements
Mandatory prerequisites are:
comprehensive knowledge of penetration testing in various areas: Windows and Linux hosts, Kali or ParrotOS tools, inline defense, automation, operating technology, and advanced skills in binary usage.
Anyone seeking the certification must be prepared for not only automated tools to be tested, but also manual skills.
Target group
The course is aimed at those who are intensively dealing with attacks and their defense on their own network, such as:
Penetration testers, Ethical hackers,
Information security consultants,
Security testers and analysts,
Administrators (network, firewall, system), risk assessment experts.
Are you unsure whether this course is the right one for you? We are happy to assist you here with your questions about necessary work experience and required expertise.
